Re:OT: Erika, please read Re: Umm, this is disturbing. - 2006/05/28 13:46well i`m not erika but that "pledge of allegiance" pretty much flies in the face of the first amendment.
Re:OT: Erika, please read Re: Umm, this is disturbing. - 2006/05/28 22:31Well, Erika is in CA, and she`s with teachers...so I figured she may know a bit more, or have heard something. At least CIPA got knocked out again. ~Matthias "My mind is glowing..."
Re:OT: Erika, please read Re: Umm, this is disturbing. - 2006/05/28 23:48Somehow I don`t think we are getting the full story here. I, personally, have never heard of anything of the sort, but it doesn`t mean it can`t be happening. On the other hand, if this were just as the poster says, I think it would have gotten some publicity in the press. I can`t imagine that not one media source would pick that up and run with it. Maybe your friend should either expand on what this form actually said or guide you to where a copy of this form can be located (i.e. the School Board). I don`t buy this story because it honestly comes off as hearsay and no real facts have been brought up other than the fact that she was asked to sign something. Sorry I`m not of more help but I`ve never come across that before.

Re:OT: Erika, please read Re: Umm, this is disturbing. - 2006/05/29 17:02Its my sister-in-law, but I dont` feel like pursuing it much further. Its quite likely that I got some details wrong that make it sound worse than it is. Its probably an isolated case then, if it is true.
