MASSIVE XMASS PARTY REPUBLIC@FACTORY 15th DECEMBER - 2007/11/24 11:51
It's dark. It's dark when you wake up. It's dark when you leave work. You haven't seen the sun for a while. And it's cold. In fact, it's bloody freezing! And of course it's wet from the drizzle. That miserable drizzling rain. Winter has begun and the end is a long way away. It's not yet Xmas, but you don't want to think about that. The presents you haven't bought, the cards you need to write, the decorations that have been in the shops for months that confirm the commercialisation of it all. And worst of all, those fucking Xmas songs that play over and over.
It's December in London.
But wait! What is that blinding ray of salvation amongst all this drudgery? What is the reason to celebrate amid the gloom? What is this epic event to propel you from downtrodden pleb to master of the universe?
Santa, like a teenage Tomasuchy, has come early.
Republic Artists present the inaugural "REPUBLIC" @ Factory in Vauxhall on Saturday 15th of December.
This is your opportunity to not just be at, but become part of one of the very best nights that London will have to offer. Our mission; our single ambition, with your help, is to make this party absolutely legendary.
The main room will of course feature yet another blistering set by Tomasuchy, the climax of a year playing at London & Ibiza's biggest clubs. As always he will be tearing the room apart with his energizing mix of funky jackin house, progressive and electro.
And if there is anyone who can outdo Tomas it will be headliner Chris Sadler. UK born & raised, Chris began DJing in Liverpool before moving to Prague 10 years ago and has since become one of the most revered and in demand DJs in the country, playing all over Czech Republic from residencies in Roxy & Radost FX in Prague to playing festivals alongside DJs like Deep Dish, Sasha and the Chemical Brothers. Chris Sadler's uplifting powerful house sound is the reason he has been voted number 1 house DJ in the Czech Republic for the last 3 years in a row.
If that wasn't enough, DirtyDubbin founder Sleazy-G will be taking to the decks as well. South African born, Gareth, as his mother calls him, has promoted and played at almost every London and Ibiza club that is worth mentioning, and when you hear him play you'll understand why he keeps getting invited back.
Headlining the second room, Alex Blanco (A&E Project) is one of the hardest working producer/DJ's in London. And one of the hardest partying too. A DJ as energized as the funky house and stomping electro he loves to play. Though expect something a bit different from him as well. He's rocked dance floors from Type at the Cross, to Eden in Ibiza and Italy's Festa Sul Lago.
To add the icing to the party cake, Ibiza legend Ivan the Sax will be accompanying some of the DJs throughout the night on Saxophone. If you've seen this done well you will know how good it sounds. And Ivan does it very very well indeed.
And with support from hugely talented and experienced DJs Funky Paul and Arthur Keen, every hour is going to be filled with quality music.
So while Monday to Friday in the outside world might be testing your will to live, inside this world is where it all becomes worthwhile. These DJs, this music, these people, this night!
REPUBLIC wants you to remember what living is all about.
This time we're not just keeping clubland alive, we're giving it a new life!
