Re:*grinds teeth* - 2006/07/07 05:05
Here now I thought that a post called "*grinds teeth*" would`ve been about pacifiers or something... While it`s unfortunate that someone doesn`t care for music played at raves, it`s nothing really new. I`m honestly shocked at how many people don`t like electronic music. It seems like a no-brainer to me. Everytime someone says, "I don`t really like techno [sic]" I want to shake them until the mind-controlling worms fall out of their ears. How can you *not* like this music? Bizarre. I recall a line from the "Rave Episode" of Dawson`s Creek, which aired a few years ago. I don`t know any of their names (except "Joey", me-yow!) but one of them tries to bring light to the absurdity of their rather heavy discussion--I don`t remember exactly what they were talking about, but I can guess that one of them perhaps liked another one of them and was afraid to say so or some similar typical crap--ANYWAY one of them turns to the other and says something, "Here we are, on a couch in an abandoned factory, listening to the most tuneless music known to man." Okay, here`s the funny part: Background music at the time was "Setting Sun" by Chemical Brothers. Not only does "Setting Sun" *not* get played at raves, it has freakin` lyrics! How could that be the most tuneless music known to man? It *has* a tune! Off the top of my head, I`m not exactly sure what track is the *most* tuneless known to man, but it`s a good guess that it`s *not* one that *has* a tune. No, they could`ve picked plenty of other songs that would be substantially more tuneless--y`know like any tracks of the techno variety... So, it`s Friday and I was up too late last night, but I think I started talking about something important here... Oh yeah, so... Uhm... Moral of the story: Some people don`t like electronic music. Most of those people are dumb. The rest of them do everything Eminem says.
