After an unprecedented early response, there is only 1 week left until we find out who is 2011’s Worldwide No. 1 DJ! We’ve had record voting numbers, cheating scandals, endless speculation and even Jimmy Savile popping up in the poll this year…the anticipation is at fever pitch.
Over 12,000 different DJ names have been submitted, with the majority of all votes coming from the USA, and we are edging nearer to hitting 500,000 total votes by the day!
2009 saw Armin Van Buuren score a number one win for the 3rd year running, with Tiesto and David Guetta making up the remainder of the top 3. Though no-one can deny all 3 DJs have had busy and successful years, the countless developments in the dance scene over the last 12 months cannot be ignored. Dubstep has been smashing the scene apart all around the world, house has made a notable progression from minimal to nu-disco, and techno and trance have continued to reign as some of the most popular worldwide genres…
