Yeah, today sucked...well it was hotter than heck (a subdivision of hell...5th level to be exact), humid, and none of my plans went accordingly (do they ever?)
So, I stopped by Best Buy, the mall, and a craft shop this evening to get some stuff, and I saw the movie Amelie. Now, I heard of Amelie a while back because it was made by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, who did The City of Lost Children...but when I heard about it, it wasn`t on DVD yet, and I wrote it down as a move that I had to get....so I got it today...I was very surprised to see it, actually, as it is a foreign film, but anyway....I was feeling pretty good by evening rolled around, and picked it up. Got home, made dinner (white pizza! roasted red peppers, fresh garlic, cilantro, tomato, green olive, mozzerella, and raisins...YuM! The raisins & cilantro were an especially nice touch, I will have to remember this receipe), and after dinner I sat down to watch Amelie...with no clue what it was about.
Well. =D It was good. Very good. In fact, I must say that this is one of my all-time favorite movies NOW! It made me feel like I was on LSD. It kicked my ass, that`s how good it was. Subtle, sweet, charming, and full of the most amazingly stupid surprises that will just leave you in lala land! The special effects, cinematography, acting, facial expressions, screenplay, etc, etc, etc. Wonderful!
If you only watch one movie this year, make it Amelie. It is much more than what the box says (a feel-good movie! HA! That ain`t the half of it!) 
I think the neighbors think I am nuts tonight, I was laughing these goofy laughs like "hahahaha! YES! Heheheheheeeheehehee! Muhahahahaha! Yeah!! PERFECT!!! LOL!"
Tomorrow doesn`t exist as long as I can experience today. ~Matthias "My mind is glowing..."
