Ahhhhhh....west & wewaxation - 2006/06/22 18:52Obviously such places are haven for drug users & ravers, and must be shut down...it isn`t conducive for the Kristian Kapitalism Klan at all. I think I shall start a petition that this place be shut down at once, and EVERYONE arrested...promoters, attendees, DJs, Hare Krishnas, visitors, etc. Soooo, all you lovely unique people, I hope you had a wonderful weekend like I did! ~Matthias "My mind is glowing..."

I mean, it`s not as bad as it could be, I suppose, but there was like 1 rave in July in the area, if I`m not mistaken. Philly is better, but sometimes I hear the scene is getting a little dirty there...not speaking from first-hand though. ~Matthias

Metropol wasn`t doing anything for a while, but Groove just got moved there, so... To be honest, I wasn`t going to Groove anyway...maybe I should have. It sounded nice, but I just never got around to it...and the times I actually wanted to go (some DJ that I liked was playing, etc.), something friggin` always came up. I actually had a really interesting conversation with an African-American raver who basically said to me, "Y`know the best thing about this scene? If we met on the street, we wouldn`t even make eye contact." True, true. That and Integral (my first Richie party) remains one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Living in smalltown Indiana, I miss Pittsburgh quite a bit.

In general, when I say an event sucks it means that it was not up to par with my expectations. Furthermore, I have been to enough events to know when an event is good and when an event sucks, so why do I need to justify my opinion? I have had many crappy experiences in PA but April Foolz 2 definitely took the cake there. Nothing has even come close to how bad a party that was. Go search the archives if you want more details.

Was it the same something with all the parties? Was it the people? The vibe? The production? Not enough people? DJs sucked? Security was rude?
