Philly, but I don`t know if it`s still around. It was thrown by a promoter crew called Gaian Mind, perhaps a web search would turn up some info.
Besides goa/psy-trance, though, I`ve always found trance at parties in this area to be veeeeery disappointing. It`s usually hard trance cheese garbage... or even if it`s not, the venues have the bass turned up way too much so it ends up sounding like that anyway. Don`t expect to find to many of those good melodies that are so common on trance CD`s.
Philly`s scene is kind of weak these days. There`s some good events still, but mostly just Drum & Bass and breaks, not trance or house. Same deal in Baltimore. DC has a pretty varied scene, with Buzz and The Edge getting the big names and a lot of smaller vanues getting lesser-known DJs. I don`t know how New York`s scene is recently, I know their most popular venues got shut down a while back. New Jersey`s scene is pretty poor. Pittsburgh`s is great from what I hear, but it`s a bit of a drive. Allentown has some parties occasionally if you`re looking for something close to Philly.
Just an FYI though, use of the term "rave" is greatly discouraged around these states, most people just say "party".
