mo & dawn: the remix project - 2006/11/16 17:36
Greetings from St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
mo & dawn: the remix project is a live electronica act that features Dawn Weber-trumpet, vocals, and flugelhorn; and Mo Egeston keyboards, bass lines and programming.
Our live set as the remix project is 99% original. All the beats come from mo's MIDI rig with no mp3, vinyl or samples. We have much respect for the DJ craft but we just come at it from the live musicians point of view. Too many haters of house and electronica in the live music world and we intend to change that one "purist" at a time!!
Since 2005 we've worked as a duo only but prior to that we wrote for and performed with the Urban Jazz Naturals(UJN), a four piece house music collective.
With UJN we released a self titled EP on vinyl and CD and two vinyl EPs.
"How Can I" was released in 2004 with a remix by JT Donaldson.(Gallery)
"Urban Jazz EP" was released in 2005 with a remix by our man Demarkus Lewis. (Large/Vista)

The Remix Project performs live every Thursday at Monarch Wine Bar in St. Louis, MO, USA and will be traveling in support of the new release very soon.
