True to their word, Rising Fridays are back at the RS Lounge with another world-beating line-up for the month of October, featuring some of the finest club nights and brands in the world. We don't do things by halves here at Rising Fridays - all we offer is the creme de la creme and the nights that ensure you quickly circle the word 'Friday' in your diary.
So, who have we got up our sleeves for the month of October? Well, fresh from conquering the Balearics this Summer, we open with Pukka Up's Ibiza Reunion, followed by the arrival of house music stalwarts Kinky Malinki. We then launch into, and welcome, the mighty Azuli to the Rising Fridays stable, before asking you to don your finest headgear for Hat Club. Feeling content after a month's worth of aural brilliance, we close the month with a final Halloween shindig, to finish off your feast for October's RS Lounge Liaison....
PUKKA UP: October 3rd
Since launching in 2005, Pukka Up has come a long way since its early days holding clubnights in the city of Bristol. Now famous for putting on clubnights featuring the most prolific party-starters in the industry, Pukka Up are taking their sound to clubbers across the globe with residencies in England at Pacha, the Whitehouse and the Honey Club, an Ibizan residency at Es Paradis and parties in Ireland, Majorca, Scotland, Dubai – in fact we’re certain that, on inspection of the world’s globe, you’re almost guaranteed to see it awash with Pukka Up kisses aplenty!!!
KINKY MALINKI: October 10th
Having just celebrated their tenth birthday at the Ministry Of Sound, Kinky Malinki needs no introduction. Having been a strong force in clubland since the late 90’s, Kinky Malinki (KM) has held residencies across the world with their funky and soulful house sounds. Just ask the people in Paris, Dubai, Malta and Egypt. Too far, then why not ask the clubbers of London, Belfast, Edinburgh and Brighton??? With a plethora of DJing and producing talent at their disposal, KM have also launched their record label with productions coming from Mark Moore, Grant Richards and the Soul Seekerz to name but a few.
AZULI: October 17th
It is fair to say that Azuli has become synonymous with the birth and evolution of house music in the UK and, to this day, remains the UK’s longest running house label. From their little record-selling shop in Soho in the early 90’s to now having quality releases from all the big-hitters of dance music: be it David Morales, John Digweed, Danny Tenaglia or Roger Sanchez. When you think of Azuli, you think of worldwide chart hits, the Azuli ‘Miami’ and ‘Ibiza’ compilation series, legendary clubnights at The Cross and residencies at the most-revered and respected nightclubs across the world. Azuli has maintained its tight grip on quality control, international respect and credibility ever since its inception
HAT CLUB: October 24th
Hat Club started in London back in late 2003, by a group of friends who wanted to promote their own club night but without being able to afford big name DJs. One of the main promoters of the night had a penchant for hats, and so, they decide there and then on their unique selling point. Hats! Fast forward nearly 5 years and you have one of the most successful, cult, club phenomenons of recent times. With residencies in 17 venues across the UK and across the world, through to Shanghai and Dubai. Add to the mix the cream of house music’s rising talents: Jason Herd, Filthy Rich, Jonathan Ulysses and Prok ‘n’ Fitch – and you have a night that’s all about maximum fun and minimum effort! Oh, but don’t forget your hat!
LIAISON: October 31st
Introducing one of East London’s hottest brands, Liaison. With a Thursday night residency at celeb hang-out, Faces, and a Saturday night residency at north London’s, Club Warehouse, we welcome Liaison to the Friday night programming at Rising Fridays. Expect to hear the finest in good-time house music and energetic electro with an up-for-it party crowd to match! This liaison is long awaiting a rendezvous...
