Way before Sasha hammered Federico’s now legendary “Brasilia” on his August 2007 Essential Mix from Ibiza on Radio 1, we at Pangea knew about Federico’s unlimited potential. In fact, Federico was commissioned to do a remix for Pangea Digital when the label first started a couple of years back. Over time, we have watched this man from Uruguay’s sound evolve into a very unique fusion of electo laden Progressive Electro House that has won over the hearts and minds of DJs and dance music fans everywhere. Thirty some releases later, Federico’s sound has matured into something very special that most artists only dream. Indeed, it is true that one DJ playing your song at the right time and place can take your career places you never thought. “Brasilia” was signed by Dave Seaman’s Audiotherapy label a couple of weeks after Sasha played it on BBC’s Radio 1, and Federico shortly went on to sign EPs with dance music bohemoths Global Underground and Mashtronic shortly thereafter. Federico also had the honor of getting Anthony Pappa to remix one of his tracks for another well known label recently, only the second time in ten years Anthony Pappa has ever wished to remix anything. Proudly, we present to you Federico’s “Davinci” EP. The Original Mix of “Davinci” has Federico’s trademark intelligent electro progressive sound which whips you through an epic dancefloor journey, while Peter Juergens provides a more minimal interpretation with beautiful, haunting chords, great efx, and a chunky bassline to match. Being one of Pangea’s best releases to date, you would be a fool to miss this one.
