So, Hi, I'm new.
Now that we've got that out of the way; I was wondering if you guys could help me out with a little mix tape I'm working on. I've worked in nightlife for a while and have developed a taste for certain bits of house music, and whatever you call little people, gramatik, landslide, etc. (I'm not sure what genre that is, btw?) but in terms of what I've heard while working/out I don't know any track titles and very few artists.
Anyway, I'm creating a collection of "mixtapes" for an ex-girlfriend (wow, that sounds bad when you type it out... we're still really close friends, and... just, it's complicated...  ) and I'm trying to find tracks that sound similar to Simian Mobile Disco's "Sebastian - Walkman" remix. Shit that can be mixed together by a dj friend of mine who actually knows what he's doing. Since I'm not all that well versed on such things, I'd like songs that were compatible with the... tempo, I guess? I dunno, as I said.
At any rate, I'd be much obliged if any of you house-savants could throw an out-of-the-know bartender a few dirty bones.
