Mr. O "Emotion Drive EP" - NuDeepMusic - 2010/04/03 01:24
Nu Deep Music is proud to introduce this artist from South Africa. “Emotion Drive EP” is a collection of 4 projects all cheekily deep. “Closer” is presented in two version, the Main Mix is deep & minimal tech instead the O Deep Version is more melodic and quiet. A little bit old skool with a simply deep bass and a crazy vocal sample seems to be the destiny of “Tha Joint” that will be one of the deep track more played at WMC2010 this year. “Those were the days” is another simply but slammin deep track with some flute flavors. Close the package “Inner Dance”, deep, slow minimal and a little bit dark.

"Closer" features sensual female vocals and is included in the tech-soul 'Main Mix' and the melodious 'O Deep Version'. Next is the hypnotic old skool track "Tha joint" followed by "Those were the days" featuring atmospheric melodies and jazzy flute. The package closes with another solid tech-soul track titled "Inner dance".

LAURENT HULSTAERT : Emotion Drive est, comme la Deep House en général, imprégné d'émotion et veut à travers la musique faire vivre un voyage au mélomane, un découverte de soi, de son ressenti à travers des mélodies, des basses et de l'instrumentalisation. Le titre Closer nous est présenté en deux versions. Le Main Mix est une version Deep influencé par des sonorités Minimal Tech, au vocal discret et captivant. Tout en progression, ce titre nous emmène dans son univers. La deuxième vision du titre, la O Deep Version, prend une approche plus Deep, plus mélodique, plus calme pour nous emmener dans la proximité d'une rencontre avec soi-même. Le morceau Tha Joint est lui plus imprégner de sonorités old school, avec une basse simple et profonde et un vocal haché. Those Were The Day reprend des sonorités légèrement plus tribal mais dans une version plus deep et intègre quelques notes de flûte pour donner une saveur plus mélodique et profonde à l'ensemble. L'EP se termine sur Inner Dance plus calme, plus sombre comme si ce titre voulait exorcisait une partie noirceur intrinsèque à chaque individu.

the other. My favourite is "Tha Joint" a raw deephouse track with
some great ostensible percussion. Superb release!
