Groovin' Records New York has released a very selective set of House records between 1995 and 2000. Some of the projects included works by G-DUBS, CRAIG MITCHELL, ORANGE FACTORY, MATT WOOD, PALO SCIENCE, 1200 WARRIORS, DINO & TERRY and COOLY's HOT BOX. European remixes were done by BASEMENT JAXX (Their 1st for an AMERICAN artist) and ALEX NATALE (Italy).
No releases from 2000 until 2003.
Between 2003 and 2005, the label has released one of the most acclaimed Soul/Neo-soul compilation series NEO-SOUL UNITED and SOUL IN THE CITY which included a song by JAZMINE SULLIVAN (pre-fame). GROOVIN' last project, in late 2005, was THE SOUL MIXTAPE by DJ JAZZY JEFF, that cd was JEFF' only full length release for an independent American label ever. It featured JEFF's productions and music by DWELE', OMAR, ANGIE STONE, PETE ROCK, LADYBUG MECCA and MARTIN LUTHER...That cd is now a HARD TO FIND collector's item.
