DISTRICT 42 aka Bamboo Forest & Massive is Stephen and Davina, two of the most well known music producers in the Psytrance Genre. With this new album both artists have fused their talents creating a next generation master piece of mixed style psychedelic electro trance. Huge production stands out immediately from the crowd the moment the music starts its magical rhythmic pulsations eclipsing the mundane and obliterating all notions of conventionality! So come and open the door to Room 35 where inside is the electro disco of the new millennium! BAMBOO FOREST is a trance music project formed by French producer/DJ, Stephane D. Playing all around the globe for nearly two decades his experience and style are have a tremendous reputation and is virtually a household name in the world of goa-psytrance. The project was formed back in 1996 and Bamboo Forest has since then released 5 albums: “Random Future” on Flying Rhino (UK), Revival” on MP Records (France), “The Seven Chakras” on Agitato (Israel). “Release Your Mind” on Neurobiotic records and self titled “Bamboo Forest” on Vision Quest (Japan). He also has a wide variety of single releases, and compilations on around 60 of the most well known labels in Psy/Goa such Spirit Zone, Spiral Trax, Dragonfly, Moon Spirits, Tip World and now Spun Records. The Music has a sound that is rich with tribal beats and vivid, inspirational psychedelic influences. The challenging drum patterns and percussion are accompanied by a deep and uncompromising powerfully flowing rhythmic bass line. Look out for an all new progressive project out soon, “Stephane D” which is a flavourful mix between Progressive Trance, and Electro House. MASSIVE is the full-on Psytrance solo project of Davina (aka DAVINA /SIRIUS ISNESS /DISTRICT42). She started to make music in the year 2000 and released her first track as Sirius Isness in 2003, since then SIRIUS ISNESS has become one of the most popular psy acts in the world ,playing at numerous parties and events across the globe, with 3 artist albums released on Phantasm recs, Mind Control and Moon Spirits records, as well as contributing an impressive number of tracks for compilations all over the world and assembling the prestigious Mind Your Own Isness compilation for Phantasm in 2007. Now making her name as MASSIVE, her first album " NOT AN ANGEL" was acclaimed all over the world during 2008. MASSIVE was back in 2009 with her 2 brand new CDS - second Album : MASSIVE AND AMIGOS: "WELCOME TO THE FIESTA" (Phantasm records), and V/A " CLASH " compiled by DJ MASSIVE and DJ MOIRA (Materia recs). Producing powerful trance music for everyone who likes strong production, full on leads, amazing melodies, EMOTIONAL and SEXY music.
Label Profile:
Spun Records was founded by Seth Hoffmann, Bradd Hosking & G.M.S. (Growling Mad Scientists) in 1999, specializing in full on psytrance/out door party sound. It was decided by Seth & G.M.S. in July 2002 to open a European branch of the label in Ibiza (Spain) to increase the amount of releases and popularity of the label worldwide.
