This has already been a big year for John Morabito, aka DJ Dark and Stormy. Between
his feature on gottadancedirty.com and his invitation to play Rise after only a year and a
half making House music, Dark and Stormy has already started making his mark on the
Boston house scene. And those accomplishments are just the prelude – on Thursday June
16th he kicks off his digital wax-dropping career with the release of his first EP, Here
Comes Another One, on Deep Nota Records.
The first of a trio of DJ Dark and Stormy EPs, Here Comes Another One opens like its
name suggests – it's an open plain where a massive thunderhead is forming, preparing to
drench a man in a hat and a long coat. It comes in slowly, gaining intensity gradually as
the man races around below, sliding in the mud and trying to get his home ready for the
coming storm. Here comes another clap of thunder; here comes another torrent of warm,
summer rain.
The Here Comes Another One release party is at Make It New June 16th – DJ Dark and
Stormy will be there to show everyone just what the EP's arrival means. And to make you
wonder what the next will be. Whatever it is, they just keep coming.
