Friends, Romans, Countrymen… Lend me your ears. Well, at least give me five seconds of attention whilst you divert your eyes from that lovely slave-boy (or girl) dangling those grapes over your tired, unimpressed mouth.
I have something to say; for many a year has man referred to the soirees of Rome as the most decadent parties known to man, from the wild orgies of Caligula to the red hot fiddling of Nero, these untamed debacles were the lifeblood of Roman society. So much so, there was even a Roman god of wine, kinky sex, and food that would make Heston Blumenthal a damn good TV show… That god is Bacchus, and word is out in the celestial court that he’s returning to this mortal coil for the first time in millennia. He’s heard there’s finally a party on this plane to rival those of yore, so he’s putting on those lime green hot pants and his cute little Greek shoulders will be a hanger for a pink vest because he’s heading down to Kidology’s 2nd Birthday Party this April.
Kidology is one of London’s best club nights, and if you’re looking for fun, dancefloor filling music, and ladies with don’t give a damn attitude then I’d put it right at the top of that list. You know those nights where blokes stand round stroking their beards, or women sit passing judgements on all those that pass under the guise of people watching? Well, this isn’t one of those. You get in the door, and you’re involved in an experience you can’t step away from, girls in screaming rainbow clothes, accentuate a dancefloor that lifts you into a neon tinted fantasy as you’re swept into a magic multicoloured maelstrom of music. Kidology is a night that has to be seen to be believed, and when you go, you’ll understand what was missing from those nights when you were merely going out, because this is one hell of a party.
What Roman party would be complete without a little vomiting? Well, Kidology won’t let you down on that front either, with Sick on the Dancefloor and Dirty Funkers completing the line up that will astound and amaze. You’ve got till the 25th of this month to get your tickets and get down to the SE1… Just don’t forget your toga!
